Frontrow Girl reaches #1 spot

White Flame released their latest single Frontrow Girl just a week ago and opened at number two. This week the did one better and took the top position on the Finnish Singles chart. The band is currently touring and guitarist Anthon had time to give a quick comment from the road: "This gives us an extra boost definately. It just proves that there is still room for good old rock&roll music."

White Flame to release album in Japan - New single with video out

After releacing two albums in Europe, finnish hard rock band White Flame are set to releace a compilation album in Japan. The album, titled RockHard, will be releaced on the 4th of October. This will be the first album releaced by finnish record label North&South alongsied their new japanese collabporators Some Echoes. Some Echoes has mainly focused on importing bands from North America and now are ready to expand to music from Finland.

White Flame also released a music video for their latest single Frontrow Girl. The video was scripted and produced by vocalist Vince. "This was new to me. A real challenge. But we wanted to see if we could do this video by ourselves, on our terms. And I think at the end of the day I feel we did a pretty good job on it". The band is currenty touring to promote the new single. Watch the video here.

White Flame to headline Tammerfest's Noste-stage

Summer festivals are just around the corner and White Flame are getting their outside mode on for their share of the activity. The latest addition to the band's summer calendar is on the 11th of July with a hometown gig on a weekend at Tammerfest. White Flame will be headlining the Noste-stage dedicated to up and coming acts.

The venue is a large park perfect for a saturday evening with the open skies and yours truly, White Flame. The concert is for all ages and free of charge.

Last week White Flame and MySpace Suomi arranged a competition to determine the second single off the band's latest album Tour Bus Diaries. Today, to celebrate the album's releace date, we have a winning song and a whole bunch of lucky CD winners as well.

The winning song, Certainly Something, ran a tight race but eventually rose above the rest. WF listeners found the song very easy on the ears: "It’s the most catchy song that goes straight into your ears/head and stays there. I was about to press repeat and repeat again. It’s maybe the most poppy song of the CD and might be the new “Hour of Emptiness”. Certainly Something will be releaced during the month of April.

Five people will receive the new album along with the metal box version of Tall Thin In. And here are the winners:

Tall Thin In released - Album date announced

Today is the day when the next chapter of the White Flame saga begins with the release of the first single off their new album. The massively attacking song Tall Thin In continues in classic WF tradition with it's raunchy guitar riffs and witty texts wrapped in a tight package of energetic Rock&Roll.

Vince is thrilled to be back on the scene as is eager to let people hear the new tune. "For me Tall Thin In is just the perfect song to put out as the first single. It has everything we are good at. The mean groove and those wicked harmonies and a good message to back it up."

Vince wished to take this time to talk about the upcoming album titled Tourbus Diaries. "It's a road album. Many of the songs were written while we've been touring and there are songs that tell stories of how we as a band see life on the road. Some tell happier stories, while others expose the raw truth of the hell You experience out there."

Tourbus Diaries will be out on the 27th of March across Europe. The album will contain songs like Dancing With Her Sister, Frontrow Girl, Certainly Something, (No) Frosen Angels (duet with Matthau Mikojan) and of course the new single Tall Thin In.

Friday the 13th will be a lucky day in February when White Flame is releasing long waited single "Tall Thin In" from the upcoming album. Track will be available for free listening in White Flame MySpace and in radio stations around the Europe. To make sure that your local radio station will play the song on that day you'd better go and wish it on their website or make your wish by phone.

Tampere-bands join forces for charity single

A group af artists from various Tampere bands have come together to try and do something about the alarming situation with band rooms and recreational facilities being torn down in their local community. The group, named Tampere Goodwill Rockers, has brought together the likes of Theon, Sammy Black (Lovex), Janne Selo (Uniklubi) and Anthon and Vince (White Flame) among others for a brand new single titled "Let There Be Music". The song can be downloaded for free as it's main objective is to raise awarness of the cause. "This thing has effected over 50 bands alreay and many of them are just young kids who don't have daytime jobs. We wanted to contribute in some way and this is the way that makes sence to a bunch of longhaired rockers."

The single willbe released on the 9th of December and it can be downloaded for free at www.myspace.com/tgr2008.

White Flame has come to terms with releasing their debut album Yesterday's News in selected European countries. The album will be released by German label Twighlight Records on the 26th of September, with distribution done by Sony. Hour of Emptiness will be their first international single release. Earlier this year the band collaborated with the makers of Star Wreck to bring out a space aged music video for the song. White Flame have kept adding dates and countries to their european tour. The latest addition is Prague, Czech Republic on the 10th of October with Lovex. The two bands will then continue touring together for shows in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

White Flame just took a turn to the big leagues with the latest addition to their promotion team as Tough Enough promoter Silke Yli-Sirniö hops on board. Yli-Sirniö is a seasoned veteran as she has had her hand in the succes stories of the likes of Nightwish, Waltari, Negative and the allmighty HIM. "If You wanna be the best, You gotta work with the best" says vocalist Vince. "And believe me, when it comes to makin' nouse about finns over there in Central Europe, she's the absolute best. Wey're in safe hands."

White Flame caused quite the stir last friday at their Summerfest show as a group people stromed the stage. The band had only gotten halfway trough their secon song when overexited fans stepped out from the crowd to dance and mess around with the foursome. Security staff had to empty the stage several times as the partiers kept returning and growing more and more agitated. The situation eventually boiled to the point where a fight broke out and a police squad was called for. Allthough the band courages their audiense to be lively and take part in shows, they do not accept fighting in their crowds

Finnish rock band The Jade have release their debut single "Drowning". There's a familiar name on the single, the song has been produced and mixed by White Flame guitarist Anthon alongside legendary Jari "Man's Child" Latomaa. The Jade's record company wanted Anthon for the job and sure enough he took this challenge.

But White Flame took this sunny time to begin preparing pre-production for their next album. The band is getting a studio tan by finishing up new demos of the next album. The project name for their recordings is "Can't Please Everyone". They will hit the studio in August and recording will continue trough the autumn.

Ever since Yesterday's News hit the stores die-hard White Flame enthusiasts have been calling out for a release of a recorded version of the popular live number Phoenix. Now their cries have been heard and prayers answered as today marks the release of a special Live @ UK-version of the song comes out. "Sure we could have gone to some studio to record it", wonders bass player Sammye. "But... Why?" "We had the chance", continues Vince, agreeing on his fellow musicians opinion. "There is some studio versions of the song in some dusty drawer. But since we got this kick ass version on tape and got it all nice and polished for our listeners, we wanted to give a live taste instead." The song was recorded while the band was touring England with Rattlesnake Remedy in late February.

It's all America when we joined forces with the makers of the Star Wreck movies for our new music video. It took us two hella-long days to film, and god only knows how many human hours is it going to take to finish up all the Post production with all them shots of us on the moon having to be created out of zeros and ones on a computer screen. Sammye is a bit of a computer wiz, maybe he'll give a hand to speed up the process!

it's time to announce the first ever winner of the Deed of the Month. The choise wasn't easy and it took until the last seconds of the deadline.
